Class is in sesion for Imnotgoing Sideways

My friend Immy (Imnot) taught some classes for NCI. NCI (New Citizens Inc)is a nice place to take classes, and Immy is a teacher there now. She is so inspiring, I just hope one day I'll be as good as her. \(^_^)/

She was teaching the Flexi and Light class (that I missed) and the One Prim Wonders class, which is one of my favorites of mine.

I didn't get to class on time so I only got one pic. The most important pic of all.

Of her.

Friends Raymond Nightfire, Rinoa, and a few others were there to back her up.

Second Life gone mobile.

Comverse demos Second Life on mobile phones
Thu Feb 8, 2007 1:24pm PST

By Adam Reuters

SECOND LIFE, Feb 8 (Reuters) - Software firm Comverse Technology has created an application that runs Second Life on Java-enabled mobile phones, along with other software that allows integrated SMS and instant messaging and the streaming of mobile video directly in-world.

“People are spending more and more time in virtual worlds,” Daphna Steinmetz, head of Comverse Innovation Labs, told Reuters in an interview on Thursday. “We want to bring closer the first life and the Second Life.”

The software was developed over the last six months, well before the open-sourcing of the Second Life client, and relies on using a separate PC or server as an intermediary. Comverse, which plans to demonstrate the products at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona next week, has also created an application that allows Second Life to run on IPTV platforms.

“On IPTV you can actually do most of the things you can do on the PC because the screen is very large, and the remote has lots of keys, so you can jump, fly, write a message,” Steinmetz said. “On the handset it’s a little more limited — it’s hard writing long sentences. It’s more just popping in, seeing who’s visiting your area.”

During a demonstration for Reuters, an avatar named Claude Minnelli (below) was logged in via mobile phone, walked around and chatted with others in the room. However, at one point the connection was lost, the avatar slumped over and his status shown as “Away.”

The company is in discussions with mobile phone carriers about rolling out the Second Life software.

Porting Second Life to other platforms is likely to accelerate following the open-sourcing of the client, but Comverse emphasized that its product is ready to go now.

“We are of course going to benefit from the opening of the client and possibilities it will give us,” said Comverse Innovation Labs’ Idan Cohen. “But the service we will offer now is ready for deployment.”

Comverse said on last month that it will be delisted from the Nasdaq stock exchange, joining a handful of companies that were kicked off the exchange as a result of irregularities in the way they accounted for stock options.

It's the Great Pumkin Bloodfang Clawtooth.

This Saturday I went on the look for a pumpkin for the front of my home. School is in session and fall is coming so I wanted a pumpkin for the front porch.

Instead I came across a cool sim full of plants of all kinds. It was a bit empty so I sort of had the run of the place. It's at least 7 different sims so take your time. XD

All the plants, homes, effects and other cool things are for sale.

I went looking for someone to help me find a pumpkin and knocked on the little tree house. I found many homes for sale. This place has lots of stuff besides the plants that's for sale. At reasonable prices. By the way, there is help in these sims.

Not finding help there I did find and made friends with a grasshoper.
That is til I asked if he was a cricket or grasshoper.

"What? So I chased a squirrel up a tree. So what?"

All this walking and climbing and such made me hungry so I looked for lunch.
I found some shrooms.

I didn't want shrooms so I continued onward til I found a swan.

I made my way into a winter wonderland. Cool ice snake or dragon.

I made friends with some playful penguins. But befor too long I had to leave.

I'm glad this place had a beach to warm up.

They even has a bonfire to warm up at.

I made my way across a bridge.

Getting past an unfriendly crocadile.

Going up a high ladder.

And through a very cool archway. I though of buying it but I would'nt know where to place it. I"m a sucker for Gothic or old and worn stuffs.

I came to the end.... or did I?

I finally came upon the fields of corn and PUMPKINS!!!!
Pumpkins FTW!!!!
However, I did not find a "Great Pumpkin" Linus. hehe
I ended up making a pumpkin that I'll show you soon.

A few things....

I havn't kept you up on all the goings on. I've fixed a few glitches at my store in the Undercity sim. Opened a small kart with a few shirts at the Neko Theme Park sim.
And have listed a few more items on my SLexchange site.

Buy something from me cuase I has rent to pay. LOL

*SIGH*

And I'm designing a outfit for RPGing in Undercity. As soon as their website is up and running I'll post it.

In the meantime, I've been partying at Club Fluffy's and the Vortex. I ran into a fellow blogger with a really neat hat. Adz Childs from his Artificial Boy blog.

Although I did catch a class my friend Lorimae Undercroft offered at TUI (Technical Users Interface). She is one skilled cat. She even designed their logo. She put it up in a contest for best logo and she won. YaY Tinies!!!

Here's me as I try to hit the teacher with a paper airplane. She nomnomed it. :(

Lorimae is such a dedicated teacher kitty. After she ate my paper airplane she taught class.

You can find out more about her from this link:

Some pics

From pig tails to cat tails to... er plug tails we all have questions at the Q and A. Miss Beverly and Miss Nardok host a really nice Q n A event. They know so much and if they don't will help you anyways. There's a Q and A event Thursdays at 2PM in Kuula.

Go to the NCI welcome center and walk across the street to the big sandbox and you will see a stage. That's also where we have the Show and Tell event and a Builders Blitz (more about that later).

There is a Show and Tell for Oldbies (myself included) that we can show off what we made. Afterwards we win some monies. I likes monies. XD Many, many monies.
Monies make me happy.

Check the NCI blog for times of the events and classes. They always have something going on and are always helpful. Even the people that hang out there.

New home

I moved in to my new home at Neko Village Lagoon.
Too bad I didn't have help. Great thing is that all you have to do is rez something from your inventory and there you go.

Another day in Kuula

One of my favorite hangouts is at the NCI (New Citizens Inc) area in the Kuula regin.

My first post

Hi, I play a 10 yo avatar in Second Life.
I now get to show you all my wonderful fun in this new (to me) 3D world.
This is not a game, this may be the next level of internet use.

Hope to see you in world.
