Show and Tell

I showed this art peice in the show and tells.

There was 3 way tie for 5th place and I got %0Ls.

Not too bad, but it seems that scripted stuff gets better prizes.

We has a hunt.....

Finally, a men's hunt just for us men.

Make Him Over Hunt ~ Second Life's first MEN ONLY hunt.

>>>>>>>>> WHEN?

MHO hunt starts June 01st - 30th June.

As you know most hunts are 95% of time oriented towards women so the objective of MHO hunt is to get men involved in the hunt while exposing them to quality stores that they many not be familiar with.

Great way to get free items and discover stores you never been to.

>>>>>>>>> HOW DOES IT WORK?

As with most hunts once a starting location has been set you will be provided with LM and the next location in the hunt once you claim your first gift. For example, store #1 will give landmark to store #2, store #2 will give landmark to store #3, and so on... until it finishes.

Gift will be hidden somewhere in the store and you will be looking for orange male symbol. Designers will have a choice to use items that are currently sold at their store or create exclusive items that will only be available for the duration of the hunt. They also have an option to provide you with store cards.

This hunt is also circular, so when you get to the end, the last landmark will direct you to first location. This means even if you start the hunt in a middle you will still get to visit and discover all participating stores.

Only high quality designers will be invited to participate as we are planning to keep number of stores around 150 so to enusure everyone gains exposure as we know men tend to give up half way if shopping expedition tends to go forever.

Hunt will go from 1st to 30th of June.

A Jira entry to vote for.
is regarding the fact that the new Release Candidate causes textures and obeject to be erased from the viewer when you turn away from them, forcing thses things to have to be constantly reloaded.
Please have a look, vote for it, and bring it to the attention of your friends.

Relay for Life and the JLU

The JLU was having a concert for Relay For Life.

What is Relay?:
Relay For Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and has been active, and continually growing, in Second Life for 5 years. Last year, the Relay for Life in Second Life (RFL in SL) raised over $200,000 US dollars. The RFL in SL, itself, is a fun-filled, overnight event that unites SL individuals throughout the world to celebrate survivors (anyone who has ever been diagnosed with cancer), remember loved ones and raise money for the fight against cancer.

About the Justice League Unlimited:
The Justice League Unlimited (JLU) in Second Life in (SL) is a public service organization who pattern their avatars after classic comic book heroes, most notably characters from DC and Marvel comics. While JLU members may model their avatars after these fictional personas, the JLU is not a super-hero role-playing group.

If the KIC sim somehow had it, then maybe more of us kids would show more cool stuffs. Might even bring us closer together as a comunitee.

SL will turn six soon. Are you ready?

Q. What is the Event Maturity Rating?

A. The Second Life 6th Birthday Celebration takes place on the main Second Life Grid and is a PG event for Adults 18 years and older. The definition of PG within Second Life can be found here.

The current definition is:

"A Region may be designated PG so long as it does not advertise or make available any content that is suggestive of any (even mildly) sexual or violent themes, or references to social drug or alcohol usage."

This event's rating means the following are in effect throughout the event. This applies across the spectrum, from streaming media, avatar representation, exhibitor material and to conduct while in attendance or exhibiting.

* No depictions or incidents of violence or gore.
* No depictions or incidents portraying sexual activity or sexual suggestion.
* No depictions or incidents explicitly advocating or suggesting drug or alcohol use.
* No nudity.

Linden Lab and the Resident Organizers reserve the right to determine when an edge case is no longer PG.

Q: Can I come as a kid avatar?

A: Yes. Everyone is welcome at the Birthday festivities, both as exhibitors and attendees. We just ask that each individual, whether participating as an exhibitor or attending as a spectator, fully comply with our PG standards. This includes not only content on display but also Avatar representation. Essentially, if you want to run around in a short Avatar, a dragon avatar or a fire hydrant avatar, that's fine, as long as it's PG.

Q: Does that mean we can show pictures of kid avatars and adults together? What's allowed?

A: We appreciate the fact that Second Life is a diverse world that includes a great many role-play families. As long as every exhibitor adheres to our general guidelines regarding content, there is no problem. We have no issue with photos of adults with children. We just ask that photos on display (in all areas) take into consideration content, context and perspective. Again, Linden Lab and the Resident Organizers reserve the right to determine when a case is no longer PG.

Child avie in a adult place.

Okay, so I couldn't help myself.
I might very well be the only child avie in a adult sim.

Adult Safe Hub

A friend of mine had found a possible adult hud for the adult grid.

^^^ This pic says what not to do. ^^^

It seems that some people could not get in because of not being age verified.
Depending on the RC and Viewer and weather or not your age verified.
As you can see I was all adult about it. A hero can be in incognito from time to time.

I just had to blog it and I almost became a child avie to be possibly the only child avie to touch the place. Tempting, so very tempting.
